Incident Summary – Day Shift Monday 29th May



10:28  Broad Highway, Wheldrake, York

York crews attended and extinguished a fire in the open. Fire involved tree roots and crews extinguished using surrounding earth.


10:40  Nunnery Lane, York

Acomb crew sent to the area following a report of a fire in the open. On arrival, crew confirmed this to be controlled burning, under supervision. Advice given.


10:49  Birdsall area, Malton

Malton crews attended and extinguished a small fire to a horse transport vehicle. All persons and horses out of vehicle and to safety prior to arrival of fire crews.  Fire extinguished using one hose reel jet. Cause believed accidental.


10:56  North Parade, York

Acomb crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and following investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.


15:24  Aspin Lane, Knaresborough

Knaresborough crew attended and extinguished a fire to a commercial bin. One hose reel jet used to extinguish. Cause of fire believed accidental.
