Incident Summary Day Shift Saturday 25th November 2017

Please see below a round-up of incidents from Saturday 25th November 2017

Time 0911 hrs – Wheelie Bin, Middleham

Crews from Leyburn attended a wheelie bin in the Market Place in Middleham. Fire was out on arrival.

Time 1017 hrs – Electrical Fire, Carperby

Crews from Leyburn attended a property in Carperby to a report of external electrical wiring on fire.  Crews stood by and monitored the situation until arrival of Electricity Board.

Time 1113 hrs – Smell of Burning, Market Place, Richmond

Crews from Richmond attended a property in Richmond following a report of smell of burning. This resulted in a false alarm due to fumes from electrical heater.

Time 1123 hrs – RTC - A1237, Clifton Moor

Crews from Huntington and Acomb attended an RTC involving three vehicles, no persons trapped or injured.  Crews assisted Police with scene safety.

Time 1155 hrs – Light Aircraft Crash, Common Lane, Hambleton, Selby

Crews from Selby and Tadcaster attended a light aircraft which had crash landed.  Crews assisted Police and Ambulance with removing two casualties from the scene into the Air Ambulance and road Ambulance.  

1240 hrs – Trapped Puppy,  Seebohm Mews, York

Crews from Acomb released a chocolate Labrador pippy which was trapped behind a shed using hand tools.  Alfie the puppy was unharmed.

 Time 1241 hrs – Bush on fire, Norman Drive, York

Crews from Huntington attended report of a bush on fire, fire was extinguished prior to arrival.

 Time 1433 hrs – People stuck in Cherry Picker, Centurion Way, Clifton Moor

Crews from Huntington released two people who were stuck in a cherry picker.  Crews used ladder to rescue them from roof of a building.

 Time 1502 hrs – Chimney Fire, Tosside, Skipton

Crews from Skipton attended a chimney fire well alight.  Ladders and hearth kit used.

Time 1610 hrs – Chimney Fire, Killinghall

Crews from Harrogate attended a chimney fire in Killinghall.  ALP requested to gain access to chimney stack.
