Incident Summary – Day Shift  Sunday 12th August

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Along with the incidents listed below we have also attended several false alarms throughout the day.

 Kent Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 08:06

Fire crews from Harrogate attended reports of an alarm sounding but on arrival this was a false alarm due to the burglar alarm sounding.

 A1M Southbound near to Junction 57

Time of call: 08:25

Fire crews from Richmond and Darlington attended reports of a car on fire but on arrival this was found to be due to a mechanical fault with the vehicle and not on fire.

 Valley Bridge Road, Scarborough

Time of call: 08:36

Fire crews from Scarborough attended reports of an alarm sounding at a property, on arrival this was false alarm.

 Haxby Road, York

Time of call: 08:57

Fire crews from Huntington and York attended a single vehicle Road Traffic Collision. The driver was out of the vehicle on arrival of the crews and was taken to hospital by paramedics on scene. Fire crews assisted in making the vehicle and scene safe.

 Kings Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 09:53

A fire crew from Harrogate attended reports of a motorcycle leaking fuel which had fallen over, crews assisted with the fuel leak and made the vehicle safe.

 Broughton Road, Skipton

Time of call: 13:23

A fire crew from Skipton attended an incident were a child had been locked inside a car. Crews used a glass punch to break the glass to release the child from the car.

 Alne, York

Time of call: 13:23

Fire crews from Easingwold and Acomb attended an incident where a vehicle was leaking large amounts of LPG fuel. Crews carried out inspections and  scene safety due to the fuel being LPG until recovery attended.

 Osbaldwick, York

Time of call: 13:34

Fire crews from Huntington and York attended a fire to a residential property. The fire was contained to the electrical fuse box. Crews isolated the electricity supply and gave safety advice to the occupiers until Northern Power arrived on scene.

 Grassington Road, Skipton

Time of call 14:46

Two fire appliances from Skipton attended a road traffic collision which involved 2 vehicles. No persons were trapped and no action was required by fire service.
