10:37     Doncaster Road, Selby

Crews from Selby were mobilised to reports of flooding inside a property which was affecting the electrics. On arrival the fire crew isolated the water supply which was leaking from a burst water pipe in the building, they also isolated the electrics as these were affected in the leak.

11:01 Carlton, Selby

A fire crew from Selby were mobilised to reports of smoke sighted in the area of the river. On arrival crews found this to be due to controlled burning and the occupier was in attendance with the fire. No action was taken.

11:11     Link Walk, Eastfield Scarborough

Fire crews from Scarborough were mobilised to reports of a fire coming from the rear of a commercial property. On arrival the fire had spread from the bin area, through a wooden gate and had ignited a parked car. Fire crews extinguished the fire using 2 Hose Reel Jets. The fire caused 100% fire damage to the bins, wooden gates and a plastic drainpipe attached to the property, the car also suffered 30% fire damage.

11:13     High Street, Knaresborough

Fire crews from Harrogate came across an elderly female who had fallen. Fire crews administered first aid until the arrival of the ambulance crew.

11:16     Kings Gardens, Sowerby

Fire crews from Selby were mobilised to reports of a fire to a fence at a property. On arrival this was due to the occupier having a controlled burn. No action was taken by the fire crew on scene.

11:41     Lismore Road, Scarborough

Fire crews from Scarborough were mobilised to a fire in a residential property. The fire had started in a tumble dryer and had spread to the remainder of the property on arrival of the fire crews. Crews extinguished the fire using 2 BA and 1 Hose Reel Jet; they also used a thermal imaging camera and a PPV fan to ventilate the property. The property suffered 70% fire damage to the kitchen where the tumble dryer was and the remainder of the property suffered 60% smoke damage. Smoke alarms were fitted in the property and had activated.

12:59     Granby Road, Harrogate

Fire crews from Harrogate were mobilised to a fire at a residential property. On arrival, staff from the premises had extinguished the fire which was caused from some tea towels being placed too close to a heating element. An inspection was carried out by crews at the scene but no action was taken.

13:18     Tower Street, York

Fire crews from York were mobilised to a public bin fire. They used 1 Hose Reel Jet to extinguish the fire.

14:06     Woodland Walk, Scarborough

Fire crews were mobilised to an alarm sounding at a property. On arrival they found the alarm had sounded due to an insect smoke bomb which had been set off inside the property. No action was required by the fire service on scene.

14:55     Askham Lane, York

A fire crew from Acomb were mobilised to reports of a grass fire in a field. Approximately 20 square metres of grassland affected

15:09     Flints Terrace, Richmond

A fire crew from Richmond were mobilised to a property where an alarm was sounding. On arrival and after thorough investigation they found no alarm to be sounding. This was due to a fault between the premises and the alarm monitoring centre.
