19:05     The Shambles, York

Fire crews from York and Acomb attended an alarm that was sounding in a property. On investigation this was due to be sounding due to a fault on the system. No action taken by fire crews.

19:24     Sand Lane, Huby

Fire crews from Easigwold and Huntington attended a single vehicle RTC. One female was trapped inside the vehicle and was released by fire crews. She was taken to hospital via ambulance. Fire crew made the vehicle safe whilst at the scene.

21:59     Harlow Crescent, Harrogate

A fire crew from Harrogate attended a property where there were reports of a smell of gas, on isepction they were unable to find the smell but called out an emergency gas engineer to attend the property. Fire crews isolated the gas supply to the property awaiting the arrival of the gas engineer.

23:25     Magdalens Road, Ripon

2 Fire crews and an officer from Ripon attended a sink hole that had appeared at the rear of two properties. There were no injuries but 7 properties were evacuated. The hole measured approx 20m by 10m with an unknown depth. We are re-attending the incident this morning with several other agencies who attended during the night.
