Incident Summary, Night Shift Monday 17th April

 TOC 17:09      Londonderry Village nr Bedale

A crew from Bedale were sent to reports of a large fire in the area, on arrival this was found to be controlled burning.

 TOC 17:15      Ripon Road, Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate attended a report of an alarm sounding, this was due to a deliberate activation of a call breakglass point.

 TOC 17:20      Valley Gardens, Harrogate

 A crew from Harrogate attended a report of a fire in the skate park, this was due to youths setting fire to rubbish, the fire was out on arrival of the fire service

TOC 17:53      Smithson Grove, Boroughbridge

 A crew from Boroughbridge attended a road traffic collision where a car had gone through a hedge into a garden, no persons were trapped and fire service crews assisted with scene safety.

 TOC 18:16      The Oval, Harrogate

Three fire engines from Harrogate and Knaresborough along with an aerial ladder platform attended a report of a fire in an old disused three storey building, the fire was due to rubbish being lit within the property and three youths were escorted from the building by fire crews and given a precautionary check by ambulance. Two hose reel jets and four breathing apparatus sets were used.

 TOC 19:43      Swineherd Lane, Kirkbymoorside

 Crews from Kirkbymoorside and Helmsley attended a fire in the stairwell of an empty derelict property, the fire is believed to have been started by children, one hose reel and a thermal imagining camera were used by crews.

 TOC 20:16      Sterling Road, York

 Crews from Huntington and Acomb attended a fire in a kitchen due to fat in the grill pan igniting.  The property was heavily smoke logged and crews used one hose reel jet, two breathing apparatus and a positive pressure ventilation fan at the incident

 TOC 02:33      River Ouse, nr Leeman Road, York

 A boat crew and fire crews from York and Acomb assisted in a search of the riverbank after a member of the public thought they had heard someone shouting for help near or in the river.  An extensive search was carried out by fire, police and ambulance service but no person was located in the area.

 TOC 03:40      Stonegate, York

 A crew from York assisted police to gain access to a property using a 9 metre ladder
