Incident Summary Day Shift Monday 11th April

Round up of incidents for – Day Shift Monday 11th April.

07:44 Pinhaw Road, Skipton.

Both crews from Skipton were sent to reports of heavy smoke issuing from a property, unknown if persons were still inside the building. On arrival, crews found the fire to be to a mobility scooter, outside the property. The fire had spread to part of the fascia boards on the property, but had not entered the property. No persons involved. Crews extinguished the fire using one using a hose reel jet.

11:27 Ellerbeck Way, Stokesley.

Crews called to reports of an Acetylene cylinder on fire in the open. Two jets used to extinguish the fire, which remained confined to the cylinder and did not spread. No persons involved.

14:25 Dishforth Road, Sharow.

Crews from Ripon and Boroughbridge along with an officer called to a two vehicle road traffic collision. On arrival, no persons trapped in either of the vehicles. Therefore, Fire and Rescue crews main involvement was to make the vehicles safe, no involvement with casualties.

14:32 Wiggington Road, York.

York crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crews found this to be a false alarm due to an escape of compressed gas.
