Round up of incidents for – Day shift Tuesday 29th March 29, 2016

 

Ascot Way, York.

Crew from Acomb called to an automatic fire alarm signal at a residential building. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

 

Ancress Walk, York.

A crew from York were called to reports of a motorbike on fire. On arrival, crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet. 100% fire damage to the vehicle.

 

Pinewood Grove, Huntington.

Crews from York and Huntington attended and extinguished a fire to a small wheelie bin outside a property. Fire damage also spread to porch area. One hose reel jet used to extinguish. No persons involved.

 

Main Street, Gillamoor, Kirkbymoorside area.

Fire crew sent to reports of a chimney fire. On arrival, crews confirmed a chimney fire was well alight. Extinguished using chimney rods and one hose reel.

 

The Shambles, York.

Crews from York and Acomb sent to an automatic fire alarm signal. On arrival and after investigation, crews confirmed this to be a false alarm due to steam from a boiling water pan.

 

Various other incidents throughout the afternoon which were confirmed to be false alarms.
