Incident Summary Sunday 24th March Night Shift

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages where incidents have occurred.

Time 1806    Location: River Foss Footpath


A small rubbish fire was extinguished by our York crew using buckets of water. The fire was believed to have been started deliberately.


Time 1820    Location: Dunnington, York


Crews from Huntington and York attended reports of a farm vehicle on fire in a field. On arrival a fork-lift teleporter type vehicle was found to be well alight. Crews extinguished the fire using hose reels and breathing apparatus.  The fire was likely to have started by an electrical fault.


Time 1915    Location: Nr Beckfield Lane, York


Reports of fire in a garden was found to be controlled burning under control. Acomb crew gave advice to the owner.


Time 05:09    Location: Church Street, Riccall


Crews from Selby attended reports of flooding inside a residential property. Crews isolated water and assisted homeowner in clearing water from property.
