Round up of incidents for – Night Shift Monday 18th April



The Bailey, Skipton

Crews were called to assist with an animal rescue after a dog had fallen and become stuck on the river bank. On arrival, crews confirmed the dog had been retrieved prior to their arrival. No further action required. Advice given.


Albermarle Crescent, Scarborough

Crews from Scarborough, Filey and Sherburn called to reports of a possible fire in a high rise building. On Scarborough’s arrival, they confirmed this to be a false alarm with good intent, due to cooking fumes.


Follifoot, Harrogate

Harrogate crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, this was confirmed by the crew to be a false alarm due to steam activating the detector.


Layerthorpe, York

York crew called to assist with a special service call. On arrival crews found a female to have her hand trapped in a conveyor belt, crews used small tools to remove her hand from the conveyor belt. No injuries sustained.


Murton Lane, Murton, York

York crew called to reports of a car fire. On arrival, crews extinguished a fire to a large van. 2 hose reels and 2 breathing apparatus used. Cause is believed to be deliberate. No persons involved in the fire.
