Incident Summary - Day shift Saturday 4th March

Round up of incidents for – Day Shift Friday 4th March.

07:08  B1257, Helmsley area

Local crews attended a road traffic collision involving a LGV, crews assisted with the release of a male casualty from the vehicle using cutting equipment. Casualty left in care of paramedics.

07:40  Mount Pleasant, Scalby, Scarborough

Crew attended an alarm activation, after investigation found this to be due to fumes from cooking.

08:35  Woodlands Avenue, Tadcaster

Crews from Tadcaster along with their Heavy Rescue Vehicle called to reports of a car falling on top of a male after he had been working under the vehicle. Crews assisted with the release of the casualty from under the car, who was then left in care of paramedics.

14:43  Main Street, Pannal

Crew from Harrogate called to a horse that had fallen in a trailer. On arrival of Fire and Rescue crews, our assistance was no longer required as the horse had managed to free itself. Inspection only to ensure area safe.

14:50  Cliffe Common, Cliffe, Selby area.

Crew from Selby attended an alarm activation, after investigation found this to be a false alarm

15:54  A19, Skelton

Crews from Acomb and Huntington called to a report of smoke issuing from a property in the area. On arrival and after investigation of the local area, crews found this to be a false alarm with good intent due to smoke issuing from a chimney. No fire.
