A19 Southbound Knayton to South Kilvington

Time of call: 18:39

                                

Crews from Northallerton, Ripon and Thirsk have attended reports of a road traffic collision involving a heavy goods vehicle and a car with one person reported to be trapped. Crews extricated one causality from the vehicle by removing the car door and placed causality in hands of a paramedics. Crews used hydraulic cutting gear, small tools, sharp protection and stabilisation kit.

A crew from Acomb have attended an automatic fire alarm. This was caused due to a faulty light unit.

 

Bramham Road, York

Crews from Acomb, Huntington and York have attended reports of a flat fire with persons trapped inside. On arrival, crews discovered the fire was confined to a ground floor flat and all persons were accounted for on scene. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel, positive pressure ventilation fan, thermal imaging camera and lighting.

 

Acaster Malbis Airfield, Tadcaster

A crew from Tadcaster have extinguished a small rubbish fire measuring approximately 4 metres by 4 metres using a hose reel.

Crews from Harrogate have attended reports of smoke coming from a car after a minor road traffic collision. On arrival crews discovered this was caused due to steam from a radiator and made the vehicle safe.

 

Beechwood Crescent, Harrogate

Time of call: 04:38

                                

Crews from Harrogate have attended reports of a smell of smoke inside a property. On arrival crews discovered that this was caused due to a fire involving a toaster however this was out on arrival. Crews applied a small amount of water and inspected the property using a thermal imaging camera.

A crew from Thirsk have attended an automatic fire alarm. The cause is unknown.
