A crew from Acomb have released a girl who was trapped inside a bedroom due to the door mechanism failing. Crews used small tools and a 9m ladder to gain access and release her.

Main Street, Normanby Time of call: 12:31

Appliances from Kirkbymoorside, Pickering, Malton, Helmsley, the water bowser from Boroughbridge and the welfare unit from Thirsk have all attended a large barn fire. The fire has now been extinguished however the  incident is still ongoing at this time with crews damping down.

A174 Lythe Time of call: 14:08

A crew from Lythe have investigated reports of a fire in the open. This was found to be a false alarm and was controlled burning.  

Piccadilly, York Time of call: 14:43

A crew from Huntington have attended an automatic fire alarm. This was a false alarm due to faulty detector head.

Theakston Lane, Richmond Time of call: 14:45

A crew from Richmond have assisted our colleagues from the ambulance service at an incident involving a carbon monoxide leak. Crews ventilated the property using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
