In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Crews from around the county have attended a number of automatic fire alarms today. Thankfully all of these have been false alarms.

Moor Lane, Scarborough Time of call: 08:44

 

A crew from Scarborough have assisted local residents who found their properties flooding following a burst water main. Crews worked with Yorkshire Water engineers to stem the leak and redirect the water.

Huntington Time of call: 11:12

 

A crew from Huntington have help to remove a ring stuck on a female’s finger using ring cutters.

Common Lane, Selby Time of call: 11:28

 

A crew from Selby have extinguished a large amount of garden rubbish that was on fire using a hose reel jet.

The Green, Newby Time of call: 11:32

 

A crew from Scarborough have helped to release one female out of a vehicle after it had turned over on its side. Crews stabilised the car before escorting the female out.

Old Malton Road, Staxton Time of call: 11:32

 

A crew from Sherburn have extinguished a car fire using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel.

Osmington Gardens, Strensall Time of call: 14:50

 

A crew from Huntington have extinguished ten metres of hedge that was well alight in a back garden. Crews used one hose reel jet.

B6160 Kilnsey Time of call: 14:51

 

Crews from Skipton have attended reports of a two vehicle road traffic collision with persons trapped. On arrival no action was required by Fire Service due to all occupants out of the vehicle.

Sheep Street, Skipton Time of call: 16:02

 

Crews from Skipton have attended extinguished  a fire within a laundry room of a commercial premise. Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one thermal imaging camera.
