In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Crews from around the county have attended a number of automatic fire alarms today. Thankfully all of these have been false alarms.

Davygate, York time of call: 11:30

A crew from Acomb have attended reports of flooding inside a commercial premise. Crews found the flooding was coming from a boiler leak and they isolated the water using small tools.

Fire Station, Selby Time of call: 12:05           

A crew from Selby have assisted a female with a ring removal after it became stuck on her finger.

Hackness, Scarborough Time of call: 12:19                        

A crew from Scarborough have attended a small fire in the open near Wykeham Forest. Crews allowed the fire to burn out naturally under Fire Service supervision.

Companthorpe, York Time of call: 12:32                     

A crew from Acomb have attended reports of a bin well alight in a rear garden. Crews found the fire to be out on arrival and crews inspected only.

Victoria Terrace, Northallerton Time of call: 13:44                   

A crew from Northallerton have assisted a home owner gain access to her property after leaving the oven switched on. Crews used small tools to gain entry into the property.

Manor Way, York Time of call: 14:03                      

A crew from Acomb have extinguished a greenhouse that was well alight using one hose reel jet. The crew believe the cause of the fire was due to an electrical fault inside the greenhouse.

A165, Reighton Time of call: 14:51                     

A crew from Filey have extinguished a car fire using one breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet. The car had been abandoned at the side of the road.
