Incident Summary Wednesday 13th September Day Shift

 

Please see below a round up of incidents from Wednesday 13th September Day Shift

 

Tower Crescent, Tadcaster   Time:  09:02

 

Our Tadcaster crews attended reports of flooding in a flat in Tower Crescent. After investigation, water was identified leaking from the flat above. The crews gained access and managed to isolate the leak and the electrics to make the area safe. The crews contacted the owner of the property and then left once the owner had arrived.

 

Douthwaite Dale, Kirbymoorside   Time:  10:39

 

Our Kirbymoorside crew are currently in attendance of a tanker that had rolled over on its side from single track road in a wooded area. Crews remained in attendance while recovery of the tanker was taking place to ensure scene was safe and contents had not leaked from tanker.

 

Market Place, Helmsley  Time:  11:20

 

Our Pickering and Helmsley crews have attended a property that reported a fire in an oven. The fire was out on the arrival of the crews.  Crews then helped to ventilate and made the area safe before leaving.

 

Bell Close, Seamer  Time:  11:27

 

Crews from Scarborough have attended a report of an alarm sounding, This was confirmed as a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

 

Embsay, Skipton  Time:  12:17

 

Our Skipton crew attended an alarm sounding in Embsay. This was a false alarm due to testing of the system.

 

Talbot Court, Low Petergate  Time: 13:55

 

Crews from York have attended a report of persons trapped in a lift. Our crews were able to rescue the three people inside by opening the lift with their lift keys.

 

Reynolds Street, Filey  Time:  13:58

 

Our Filey crew attended a report of a fire at a residential property from a microwave oven. The occupants were out of the property at the time. The fire was out on arrival of the crews but the fire had caused damage to the kitchen and lounge of the property. The crew isolated the electrics in the property and fitted smoke alarms.

 

Whinney Mire Lane, Ingleton Time 15:30

 

Crews from Filey and Settle have attended reports of a oven fire. The fire was out on arrival, crews made the property safe and ventilated using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
