Crews have attended a number of automatic fire alarms today in York. Thankfully these were a false alarm.

Swindon Lane, Kirkby Overflow

Time of call: 08:11

Crews from Harrogate have attended a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a car into a ditch. The occupant, who was a male in his 20s, was out on arrival of the Fire Service and crews assisted in making the scene safe.  

Rosedale Chimney Bank, Rosedale Abbey

Time of call: 10:22

Crews from Harrogate have attended a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a car rolled onto its roof. The occupant, who was a male in his 60s, was out on arrival of the Fire Service and crews assisted ambulance crews with casualty handling. Crews made the scene safe.

B6451, Farnley

Time of call: 12:58

Crews from Harrogate have attended a road traffic collision involving a heavy goods vehicle carrying approximately 11000 litres of milk had rolled onto its side. The driver was out on arrival of the Fire Service however the tanker was leaking milk onto the road and surrounding areas. Crews attempted to stem the leak and contain the milk before decanting the milk into a secondary tanker.

Crews from Leyburn and Reeth have attended a road traffic collision involving a single vehicle. The vehicle had rolled a number of times before resting on a side verge. The occupant was a female aged in her 50s. Crews assisted ambulance crews with casualty and made vehicle safe.

A629, Cononley

Time of call: 13:10

Crews from Skipton have attended a road traffic collision involving a single vehicle. The vehicle was a BMW which had rolled over onto its side. The occupant was a male aged approximately in his 60s who crews released from the vehicle and passed into the hands of ambulance crews on scene. Crews used cutting gear, triple extension ladder and stabilisation equipment used.

Otley Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 14:02

A crew from Knaresborough have extinguished a small fire in the passenger side of a van. Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and thermal imaging camera.
