Incident Summary Day Shift Saturday 24th  November 2018

Crews from around the county have attended a number of automatic fire alarms today. Thankfully all of these have been false alarms.

Lindsey Avenue, York

Time of call 11:28

A crew from Acomb, Huntington, York and Easingwold have responded to initial reports of a house fire with persons reported to be trapped inside. On arrival crews found the first floor bedroom well alight and crews immediately committed firefighters wearing breathing apparatus into the property. Crews conducted a thorough search of the property and thankfully no persons were found inside. Crews extinguished the fire and carried out fire investigations into the cause. Crews used six breathing apparatus, two hose reels, three thermal imaging cameras, triple extension ladders, lines of 45mm hose and small tools.  

Denison Road, Selby

Time of call 12:43

A crew from Selby have responded to a cooker fire within a residential property. The fire was out on arrival and crews inspected only. They found a grill pan left inside the oven so crews removed the grill pan outside giving advice to the occupants.

Coney Street, York

Time of call 16:26

A crew from York have released six persons from a lift using lift keys.
