Incident Summary Night Shift Thursday 21st December 2017

Crews have attended numerous automatic fire alarms throughout the night with all being false alarms. These have been in Harrogate, Stokesley, Skipton, Colburn and York.

Kirkgate,  Thirsk Time of call: 18:48

A crew from Thirsk have attended reports of a bin fire this evening. This was a false alarm and was due to controlled burning.

Hungate Road, Sherburn-in-Elmet Time of call: 18:54

Crews from Tadcaster have attended a chimney fire. The fire was confined to the chimney pot and crews used a 9 metre ladder, roof ladder, tripe extension ladder, working at height kit, hose reels, chimney nozzles, thermal imaging camera and lighting.

Parliament Street, York Time of call: 21:45

 A crew from York have released 2 people from a lift in a commercial premise.

 A63 Brayton Time of call: 22:50

A crew from Selby have investigated reports of a fire in the open. On arrival at the location passed by the caller, crews could not locate a fire and believe it had burnt out.

Church Road, Earby Time of call: 23:08

A crew from Skipton have assisted our colleagues from Earby at a single vehicle road traffic collision. On arrival all occupants of the vehicle were already out and no action was required by Fire Service.

Hackness, Scarborough Time of call: 23:17

A crew from Scarborough have attended a road traffic collision to make the scene safe. This involved a coach stuck down a narrow lane with its front wheels of the ground. Crews inspected the scene and found that the coach was in a stable position leaving the incident in the hands of the police.
