Incident Summary Night Shift Thursday 26th July 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Crews from around the county have attended a number of automatic fire alarms today. Thankfully all of these have been false alarms.

Norton Road, Malton

Time of call: 18:09

A crew from Malton have made the scene safe of a two vehicle road traffic collision. Crews used manpower to move vehicle from road onto road side and assisted police.  

A1 M Southbound Junc 47 Slip Road

Time of call: 20:30

A crew from Knaresborough have investigated reports of a car fire. On arrival crews found no fire however this was a single vehicle road traffic collision. Crews made vehicle safe while paramedics treated occupants.

A59 Kirk Hammerton

Time of call: 22:37

A crew from Acomb and York have extinguished a commercial pick up truck on fire. Crews used a main jet and two breathing apparatus.

Ellergill Lane, Skipton

Time of call: 00:45

Both Skipton appliances have extinguished some controlled burning that was left unattended. Crews used two hose reel jets.

Ashwood Drive, Stokesley

Time of call: 01:20

A crew from Stokesley and Coulby Newham have reports of a bedroom fire in a two storey domestic property. Crews found the fire to be out on arrival which was confined to a mattress and removed this from the property. Crews gave advice to the owners and investigated the cause.

Black Horse Lane, York

Time of call: 05:24

A crew from York have attended reports of flooding from a block of flats. Crews located the leak coming from a flat on a higher floor and isolated the leak. Crews assisted with clearing up after the leak using manpower.
