Crews from Malton have attended reports of smoke coming from underneath the eaves of a roof in a residential property. This was believed to be caused due to a birds nest setting alight due to it resting on electrical cables attached to the house. Crews used a triple extension ladder, electrical gloves and a dry powder extinguisher.

A crew from Selby have attended an automatic fire alarm. This was caused due to smoke from controlled burning nearby.
