In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Crews from around the county have attended a number of automatic fire alarms today. Thankfully all of these have been false alarms.

Green Lane, Stutton

Time of call: 19:00

A crew from Tadcaster have attended reports of smoke seen the area of Green Lane, Stutton. This was found to be controlled burning.

Kingsley Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 19:57

A crew from Knaresborough have extinguished a small camp fire using beaters.

Queens Staith, York

Time of call: 02:05

A crew from York, Acomb and Huntington have rescued a female from a steel structure beside the river after she climbed it. Crews used the aerial ladder platform from Huntington to reach the female and bring her back down to safety.

Walmgate, York

Time of call: 05:24

A crew from York and Acomb have investigated reports of a male in the River Foss. Crews conducted a bankside search and spoke to witnesses however they believed the male exited the river shortly before fire service arrival.
