Incident Summary – Night Shift  Sunday 11th November 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Crews from across the county have attended a number of automatic fire alarms throughout the night at a range of premises. Thankfully, all of these have been false alarms.

19:01 Sherburn-In-Elmet

A fire crew from Tadcaster attended a small fire which had been set alight in a wooded area. Crews used a bucket of water to extinguish the fire.

20:44     Farnhill

Fire crews from Skipton have attended reports of an extractor fan on fire within a residential property. This was believed to be caused due to an electrical fault and was out on arrival. Crews inspected the fire only using a thermal imaging camera and ensured the power was isolated to the fan. They also gave advice to the occupiers.

21:17     Markington

A fire crew from Harrogate attened a chimney fire at a residential property. Crews carried out a thorough investigation to ensure the fire was extinguished in all areas of the chimney.
