NYFRS Daily Bulletin - Monday 19th November Day Shift

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

09:22 – A19 Shipton

Whilst coming back from another incident Acomb crew came across a road traffic collision involving an Iveco flat bed truck and a Vauxhall van which had collided with the rear of the truck. Our crews gave general assistance until the arrival of the ambulance crew who checked the driver of the van over on scene. The incident was left in the hands of the ambulance crew after our crews had checked the vehicles for safety.

10:44 – Morton on Swale

A fire crew from Northallerton attended reports of a car fire in the village, however after inspection this was found to be an overheating engine and no action was taken by crews.

11:57 – St Thomas Street, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough attended to a male who’d become locked in a toilet cubicle due to a fault on the door. Crews were able to release him using a hooligan tool and door enforcer.

15:18 – Welham Road, Norton, Malton         

Malton crew have attended to assist a female who had trapped her finger in the seat mechanism of her car. Crews released the female who is going to attend hospital with a suspected broken finger and severe bruising.

16:47 Tadcaster Road, York

Crews from Acomb and York are currently attending a fire in a kitchen of a property. Crews are using a hose reel and breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.

 

Fire crews from across the county have also attended a number of automatic fire alarms which have activated in various locations. All of these have been thoroughly investigated and found to be false alarms.
