Please see below a round up of incidents from Saturday 17th June Day Shift


Incident 5188  Time 1213 – Bad Bargain Lane, Heworth, York


Crews from York and Acomb attended a domestic property after reports of a smoke alarm sounding. Crews found a small fire in the kitchen that was quickly extinguished. Crews also led the elderly occupant to safety and gave oxygen therapy until ambulance arrived to check her over. Cause of the fire believed to be a chip pan left unattended.


Incident 5189  Time 1257 – Hoxton Road, Scarborough


Scarborough crew released a small child from a bathroom after the faulty door locked her in. Small tools were used.


Incident 5192  Time 1442 – Catterick Lane, Catterick.


Colburn crew investigated reports of a fire seen in the open. The remains of a small fire were found, out on arrival of crews. Inspection only required.



In addition to the above incidents our Fire crews attended fire alarm calls in Malton, York, Selby and Huntington.  All were false alarms.
