Please see below a round up of incidents from Sunday 28th May Day Shift


Incident 4528  Time 1344 – High Street, Whixley


A Knaresborough crew released a dog after his head had become trapped in park railings. Hydraulic spreaders were used.  The dog is fine.


Incident 4529  Time 1349 – Somerset Row, Ripon


Ripon crews gained access to a flat after the occupant had accidentally locked himself out. Small tools were used.


Incident 4532  Time 1433 – Commercial Street, Norton


Malton crews removed a roadworks sign that had been placed in a potentially dangerous position on top of a bus shelter.


Incident 4533  Time 1452 – The Grove, Harrogate


Crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough attended a fire involving a barbeque that spread to a gas pipe, causing gas to leak from the pipe. The fire was out on arrival but crews stemmed the gas leak until the gas company arrived.


Incident 4534  Time 1620 – The Mere, Scarborough


A camp fire left unattended was extinguished by a Scarborough crew using a knapsack.



In addition to the above incidents our Fire crews attended fire alarm calls in Malton All were false alarms.
