Car fire – Cravendale Road, Catterick Garrison

 

Time of call: 0751 hours

 

A crew from Richmond has dealt with a car fire using a hose reel and 2 breathing apparatus. The fire was confined to the engine compartment and is believed to have started accidentally.

 

 

 

False alarm – Gale Farm Court, York

 

Time of call: 0835 hours

 

A crew from Acomb has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the detection system.

 

 

 

False alarm – Danesmead Close, York

 

Time of call: 1025 hours

 

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to the system being tested.

 

 

 

Fence fire – Springfield Road, Sherburn in Elmet

 

Time of call: 1040 hours

 

Tadcaster crews used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish a fence and hedge on fire in the rear of a property on Springfield Road. Cause of fire is believed to have been accidental.

 

 

 

False alarm – Tadcaster Road, Bilbrough

 

Time of call: 1210 hours

 

Crews from Tadcaster and York attended a report of a car on fire on Tadcaster road. This was a false alarm due to an overfill of oil.

 

 

 

False alarm – High Street, Harrogate

 

A crew from Harrogate used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish a small garden fire in Harrogate. The burning was under control but was extinguished due to the smoke affecting the school next door.

 

 

 

False alarm – Medical premises in Clifton Park

A crew from Knaresborough has attended a report of a large fire in the open. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning.
