Persons released after car crash near Hellifield

A682, near Hellifield.

Firecrews from Settle and Skipton responded to calls from the Police and Ambulance of a single car RTC on the A682 South of Hellifield.

On their arrival at 14:59, the crews found a Toyota Aygo on it's side with two persons trapped within, after the car collided with a tree.

After stabilising the vehicle, firecrews effected the release of the two casualties, aged in their 70s, by use of hydraulic cutting equipment to fold down the roof, from where they were transported to hospital by ambulance suffering from bruising and lacerations.

The last firecrew left the scene at 16:35
