Pizza shop fire

Location: Sackville Street, Skipton

Time of call 06:32

Fire fighters from Skipton are in attendance at a fire inside a pizza shop, on arrival they requested a further 3 engines attend the scene. Fire crews from Grassington, the aerial ladder platform from Harrogate and West Yorkshire fire engines from Silsden and Keighley are all now in attendance with Skipton.

Crews are currently fighting a fire in a three storey premises. Breathing appartaus and two hose reel jets are in use. Further details to follow.  

08:30 update

Fire crews managed to surround the fire and by 08:10 the incident was scaled down.A number of fire engines have now left the incident scene. Three fire engines remain, damping down.

Summary

The fire caused 100% fire damage to the takeaway shop and 5% damage to the flat above the shop. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
