Road Traffic Collision - A59 Draughton

Location: A59 Draughton

At 1323 hours the Fire Service were called to a two vehicle road traffic collision on the A59 at Draughton. Fire Crews from Skipton and a Heavy Rescue Appliance from Ripon Fire Station attended.  Upon arrival crews found the collision was involving a Toyota and a Mini.  Drivers of both vehicles were trapped, fire crews used cutting equipment to release them.  The driver of the Mini, a male in his forties was taken to hospital by air ambulance suffering from back, neck and arm injuries.  The driver of the Toyota a male in his thirties was taken to hospital by air ambulance suffering from back and neck injuries.  Fire Crews used cutting equipment, stabilising equipment and small tools.
