Road Traffic Collision - A59 Upper Poppleton

Location:  A59, Upper Poppleton

At 1347 hours the Fire Service were called to a Road Traffic Collision involving an Audi Q7 and a Van. Fire Crews from Acomb and Huntington Fire Station attended  The Occupants of the Audi, a male and female aged approximately 40 years of age in the front of the car were out prior to the arrival of the Fire Service.  A female aged approximately 9 years in the rear of the car who was unable to get out due to her injuries but was assisted from the vehicle by the Fire Service under the supervision of the ambulance crew, she was taken to hospital along with her mother suffering from spinal injuries.  The occupant of the Van a male aged approximately 55 years was out of the vehicle prior to Fire Service arrival was taken to Hospital suffering from rib injuries.
