Road Traffic Collision - A64 WBC Bilbrough

Location:  A64 WBC Bilbrough

At 1335 hours the Fire Service were called to a Road Traffic Collision on the West Bound Carriageway of the A64.  Fire Engines from Acomb and York Fire Station attended.  The collision involved a car which had left the road gone down a ditch and hit a tree. The driver a male aged approximately 40 years of age was out of the vehicle prior to the Fire Service arrival.  Crews helped him up from the ditch to the roadside where he was taken to Hospital by Air Ambulance suffering from chest, leg and abdominal injuries.  Crews used RTC trauma pack, reciprocating saw and small tools used.
