Road Traffic Collision A66 Slip Road, Scotch Corner

Toc:  1328 hours

Location:  A66 Slip Road onto the A1 North Bound at Scotch Corner

At 1328 hours the Fire Service were called to a Road Traffic Collision involving a Peugeot 206 and a Large Goods Vehicle.  Fire Engines from Richmond and Colburn Fire Station attended.  Driver of Large Goods Vehicle was out of vehicle on arrival of Fire Service.  Occupant of Peugeot a female aged 40 years was trapped in the vehicle by her injuries. Fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove passenger door and roof flap to enable her to be released from the vehicle, then placed on a spinal board.  Road ambulance then transported her to hospital, she was suffering from neck and back injuries.
