Road Traffic Collision - Gate Helmsley

Location:  A166, Gate Helmsley

At 1134 hours the Fire Service were called to a Road Traffic Collision between a Skoda Fabia and a Ford Focus.  Fire Crews from York and Huntington Fire Station attended.  All persons were out of the Ford Focus prior to the Fire Service arrival.  Occupants of the Skoda, two females aged 88 years and 1 female in her sixties were trapped in the car by their injuries only. A seven year old child also travelling in the Fabia was out on arrival of the Fire Service. The 60 year old was complaining of chest pains and one of the 88 year olds was suffering from neck pains and other medical issues.  Crews used cutting equipment, stabilisation equipment and small tools to release them.
