Road traffic collision - A59, Hessay

A fire engine from Harrogate has been called to assist at a road traffic collision on the A59 near to Hessay.

The incident was a head on collision between a Mini and a Nissan Micro. Ambulance crews were already at the scene and were dealing with casualties when fire service arrived.

Fire crews have made the vehicles safe using hand tools to allow for the carriageway to reopen.
