Road Traffic Collision - Moor Road, Leyburn

25th April 2015

Location: Crossroads near Bellerby Camp, Moor Road, Leyburn. 

Time: 1614 hours. 

Fire engines from Leyburn and Richmond, along with a heavy rescue unit from Bishop Auckland, have been called to the scene of a 2 vehicle road traffic collison on Moor Road, Leyburn at the crossroads near Bellerby Camp.

The female driver of a Ford Fiesta was out of the vehicle on the arrival of the Fire Service and she has been taken to hospital by air ambulance with possible pelvic injuries.

The female driver of a Vauxhall Astra was out of the car and appeared uninjured. Her male passenger was trapped in the vehicle and has been released by Fire crews and taken to hospital by road ambulance with possible spinal injuries.

Fire crews have used hydraulic cutting equipment and various tools.
