False Alarm – Alne Hall Track, Easingwold

Time of call: 0901 hours

Crews from Easingwold attended an automatic fire alarm activation at a residential property on Alne Hall Track. They found that this was a false alarm due to weekly testing taking place.

False Alarm – Kings Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 1214 hours

A fire crew from Harrogate attended reports of an automatic ire alarm activation at a residential property on Kings Road, Harrogate. They found that this was a false alarm caused by dust from work being carried out within the property.

Rescue – Sharow Lane, Ripon

Time of call: 1247 hours

A crew from Ripon attended a call from a carer who had a lady stuck in a stair lift which had broken. Crews attended and released the female from the stair lift.

False Alarm – Hornbeam Park Avenue, Harrogate

Time of call: 1304 hours

Crews from Harrogate attended a fire alarm activation on Hornbeam Park Avenue. They found that this was a false alarm due to contractors working on the alarm system.

Assist other agency – Sheriff Hutton Road, Strensall

Time of call: 1420 hours

Crews from Huntington were checking hydrants and came across a male who had been trampled by a cow. Ambulance and air ambulance were in attendance and crews gave assistance. The male is aged approx 90 years and was transported to hospital via air ambulance.

Fire in open – High Lane Track, Swainby

Time of call: 1430 hours

Crews from Northallerton attended reports of a fire in the open. They found that approx 100 square metres of bracken was on fire.

False alarm – Davygate, York

Time of call: 1544 hours

Crews from York, Acomb and Huntington attended a smell of burning at a retail property on Davygate. They found this was a false alarm due to an overheated extractor fan.

Fire in open – School Lane, Copmanthorpe

Time of call: 1615

Crews from York attended a fire in the open on School Lane. They found that this was controlled burning out of control and extinguished using 1 hose reel.
