Shop Fire - Finkle Street, Richmond

Location: 10 Pump fire - Finkle Street, Richmond

Time: 0511 hours

Fire crews are currently tackling a large fire at a terraced commercial property on Finkle Street in Richmond.

A delivery driver discovered the fire and fire engines from Richmond and Colburn were mobilised.  They arrived on scene and discovered a fire in the 2 storey commercial property.

The fire has spread to the roof void in an adjacent property and a further 6 fire engines have been mobilised from Leyburn, Reeth, Bedale, Northallerton, Darlington, Ripon and Masham.  2 aerial ladders are in attendance from Middlesbrough and Harrogate, along with other support appliances from Malton and Northallerton.

Crews are currently using 6 breathing apparatus, 3 hosereels, 4 jets and aerial ladder water tower to tackle the blaze.
