Please see below a round up of incidents from Friday 30th June say shift.


Incident 5691 Time 0814 – Risplith


2 Ripon crews attended a 2 vehicle road traffic collision. 1 casualty was rescued using hydraulic cutting gear and taken to hospital via ambulance with injuries not thought to be serious.


Incident 5693  Time 1037 – Selby Canal, near old swing bridge.


Selby crew launched a boat onto the canal after reports of an upturned canoe being sighted by a passer-by. The boat crew recovered the piece of broken canoe, no persons trapped or involved.


Incident 5696  Time 1248 – Long Preston, Skipton


Settle and Skipton crews responded to a smoking tumble drier in a domestic property. A build-up of fluff had ignited in the drier and the owner had immediately switched it off. Crews removed the drier from the property and gave advice to the owner.


Incident 5701  Time 1532 – A1 Northbound between Leeming and Catterick


Crews from Bedale and Northallerton cooled the brakes of a tractor and trailer after the driver became concerned they were overheating. A hose reels was used.


In addition to the above incidents our Fire crews attended fire alarm calls in Harrogate, York and Acomb.  All were false alarms.
