Incident Summary Sunday 13th August Day Shift

Please see below a round up of incidents from Sunday 13th August Day Shift

  Time 1220 – A64, West Heslerton

Malton crew attended reports of a vehicle fire. On attendance it was found to be only an overheated wheel bearing. No fire. Crews gave assistance to the elderly couple occupants.

  Time 1230 – York Racecourse

York crew released 7 persons that had become trapped in a lift car. Lift keys and crew-power were used.

 Time 1427 – Harrogate Road, Huby

A small electrical fire in a car on a driveway was out on arrival of crews. Inspection and making scene safe only. Harrogate & Knaresborough crews attended.

Time 1439 – Murton Lane, Murton, York

Crews from York and Huntington assisted paramedics in rescuing a fallen casualty from a height of first floor level. Ladders and stretcher were used. The casualty was taken to hospital via ambulance.


In addition to the above incidents our Fire crews attended automatic fire alarm calls in Settle and Selby.  All were false alarms.
