8th August 2015

Time: 01:21

Location: York Road, Barlby

At 01:21 we received reports from a Care Home that one of their tumble dryers was smoking, both appliances from Selby were mobilised.  Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 1 hose real jet and a foam extinguisher to extinguish the fire and then used the positive pressure ventilation fan to ventilate the property.

Due to the close proximity of residents rooms 8 persons were escorted to safety by staff and fire crews.

The last appliance booked away at around 03:10
