Two Vehicle Road Traffic Collision - Follifoot

Location:  A658, Follifoot

At 2049 hours the Fire Service were called to a two vehicle road traffic collision on the A658 at Follifoot. Two Fire Engines from Harrogate Fire Station attended.  The collision involved a Vauxhall Astra and a Ford Fiesta. The occupant of the Astra was a male aged approximately 20 he was out of the vehicle prior to the Fire Service attendance, he was uninjured.  The occupant of the Fiesta a male aged mid 40s was not physically trapped but because he was suffering from chest, neck and shoulder pain he had to be placed on a spinal board.  Fire Crews assisted ambulance crew carrying him to the ambulance.  He was then taken to Hospital by ambulance.  Crews then made vehicles safe.
