Flooding Incidents- Whitby

4th January 2016

17:25 Batergate Whitby- Floodwater to property and roadway.
Crews unblocked drains and used a main pump to pump water from road

18:44 Crescent Avenue Whitby- Flooding to back yard, water seeping into property
Crews used a pump to remove water from property and back yard

19:08 Sandsend, Whitby- Flooding into property
Crews pumped away water to an acceptable level, so the owner could use their own pump to remove the remaining water 

19:16 Stainsacre Lane Industrial Estate- Car stuck in floodwater
Crews assisted two occupants out of the vehicle

20:05 Briggswath, Whitby- flooding into garden
An officer attended and gave advice to the occupants. 

22:16 Runswick Bay, Saltburn- flooding near to premises
Crews pumped water away which was in danger of entering a number of premises

23:10 Houlskype, Whitby- flooding near to premises
Flooding close to properties but did not enter them. Crews cleared a block drain to drain the water away.
