Calf rescue from River Ouse near York

Location: River Ouse near York

Fire crews from Acomb and York rescued a calf trapped against the riverbank of the River Ouse. Fire crews utilised the York water rescue unit, manpower, winch and strops to help the calf from the river. The calf was unhurt, only suffering from cold, but not friesian.
