We would like your views on these proposals. If you would like to give us feedback, please email CAO.ServiceInformation@northyorksfire.gov.uk, comment on our Facebook page North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service, or send us a message/comment on Twitter @NorthYorksFire by the 26th January 2018.

A full copy of the budget report which was considered by the Fire Authority in December 2017 is available on our website here (Agenda Item 9 2018-19 Provisional Revenue Estimates, Capital Programme and Precepts).

Ian Young Director of Finance and Information said:  “The continuing real reductions in Government financial support means the Authority cannot rule out seeking an increase in Council Tax to support its expenditure plans. We would welcome comments from members of the public on the Budget report and what level of council tax increase they would be prepared to support. The feedback we receive will assist the Authority when it considers the final budget report at its meeting in February.”

Please be aware that your total Council Tax bill is made up of different elements from the county council, your district or borough or parish council, the Police, and the Fire Authority.
