Northallerton Firework Display a Success

15th November 2011

Firefighters at Northallerton Fire Station have hailed this year’s bonfire night celebrations in the town as a great success.

Thousands of people watched the firework display in the Applegarth, which is now in its 44th year, and their donations helped raise over £4000 which will be put towards next year's display.

Crew Manager Mark Pinder, who has a key role in organising the event said; “We’ve had a lot of feedback from members of the public who have said this year’s event was the best one yet! It’s great that so many people come along to this organised display and it allows us to get important firework safety messages out to the local community.”

Mark continues: “Although people have been very generous this year and helped us raise an impressive £4133 for next year’s display we are always looking for sponsorship of the event. If there are any local businesses out there who would be interested in sponsoring next year’s event, we’d love to hear from you. You can contact me at Northallerton Fire Station on 01609 751010 or via email
