Child Safety Awareness Day

18th September 2013

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service in partnership with Stephenson’s Coaches of Easingwold will be delivering an Child Safety Awareness Day at Huntington Fire Station on Monday 23rd Sept at 10am.

The aim of the day is to raise awareness of safety issues whilst traveling on busses and coaches to and from school. The children from year 6 at Alne Primary School will receive input from the fire service in-line with the BUSK (Belt Up School Kids) training package and see the equipment that would be used at a road traffic accident.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Stephenson’s Coaches hope to reduce injuries and show children the dangers of distracting drivers, and not sitting correctly whilst travelling.
