Appointment of new ACFO- December 2005

The Chief Fire Officer Nigel Hutchinson has pleasure in announcing Andy Trowsdale as our new Assistant Chief Fire Officer with effect from 24:00 hours, Sunday 27th November:

Andy, 40, currently in the role of Area Manager, Head of Staff Risk joined North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service in 1985. Andy has served across the County in all operational ranks, as well as working within a wide range of functions at Brigade Headquarters. He oversaw the move to the new Training Centre at Easingwold as part of the Private Finance Initiative and more recently was instrumental in establishing the Workforce Development Team.

Andy will be an asset to the Principal Officer Team bringing with him a wealth of experience developed whilst working at senior level within the Human Resources Team.

In taking the role Andy will be responsible for:-

Maximising the effectiveness of Human Resources in support of the Authority’s Vision and Corporate Plan.

Contributing to development and delivery of the corporate strategies as a member of the Management Board.
