A man has been rescued by Firefighters following a fire at his home in Wilberforce Avenue, York. The first call was received by Fire Control at 0037. The call was made by the occupant of the house, who was trapped in a first floor bedroom. The caller was unable to escape from the house due to a fire, believed to have started in the living room area.
