Road Safety Week Invite to Press 31st Oct 2006Road Safety Week Launch
Every day, nine people are killed and ten times as many are seriously injured on UK roads.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service launched Road Safety Week on Tuesday 7th November 2006 Road Safety Week 2006 takes place from 6th-12th November 2006. The main theme for this year's event is young driver and passenger safety. The launch included a car extrication, which highlighted the devasting effect of road collisions. The aim of this years Road Safety week is to alert people to the devastating number of road collisions that involve young people, and to offer advice on how to stay safe on the roads.Yorkshire.
